Seoul Grand Park was an awesome place for a Sunday picnic, however, our food was cold and greasy by the time we sat down to eat. I guess it's the company and not the food that counts!

Rachel Lynn and I have mended our ways and we have decided to follow a different path through Seoul. Instead of having lots of drunken photos, taken in dark, smoky bars...we have decided we needed more outdoor nature shots. What do you think?

(However, this is my disclaimer...we may still hit the bars from time to time.)

I had such a great day on Saturday from beginning to end. The morning began, as it always does, by talking to Min. After checking the time, now you know who you can blame when I'm late, I hurried to Hanam-dong to attend a health/nutrition class at 7:30am!! Can you believe it?

From there I headed to soccer, we got our new uniforms and I ran my butt off on the field, feeling that in every muscle now.

After that, I got a call from Rachel Lynn and I met her in Itaewon. I had to drop by the travel agency to get some info, cause I'm heading to Beijing next month with Tanya...I can't wait! Anyway, while we were there we were thoroughly entertained by the owner of Marco Polo Travel. HAHA, he got a customer who he just didn't want to deal with because he said he was "stupid". In the end he hung up on the guy and started talking about stupid people, a topic that Rachel and I always love to talk about. He told us that there were "stupid people all around the world", including, "the mother of his old flame". Apparently he couldn't marry his "old flame" because he wasn't a Christian, but don't fret for him, "he thinks his life is getting better".

We left the travel agency to do some window shopping, or "eye shopping" as they like to say in Korea. This is bad news when you put the two of us together cause we just love to buy "Korean stuff" for our future homes. The only problem with this is that we both think we may be homeless and living on the streets when we move back to North America. Hey, at least we'll have our "stuff".

Anyway, to get to the highlight of the day, after careful consideration

of what one can do in Seoul, without consuming alcohol, we decided to see, "The ballerina who loves a b-boy". The show was amazing, and if you're anything like us and love the movies, "Save the Last Dance" or "Step Up", you will love this performance. The website is www.sjboyz.com so check it out.

We ended the night by eating some meat, mmmmm meat! An all around awesome day! Here are a few pictures of the performance.

Well, it's that time of year again. Spring has arrived and everyone and their dog were out it full force, armed with their cameras. Here are a few pictures that were taken today.

One of the things I will miss the most about spring in Korea, the cherry blossoms. Too bad the crowds of people ruin it a little bit, but then again, I'm there doing the same thing as everyone else. But, you have to ask yourself....why in the middle of all these beautiful trees do you have to hear, "Hammertime" blaring in the background?

Why I want to be an adult.

One of the questions in my students text book was, "why do you want to be an adult?". Here are a few of their answers. I wish I was an adult, it sounds cool!

1. "I want to be an adult because adults can do anything they want so, I want to be an adult."

2. "I want to be an adult because if I was and adult I could do everything, it's my dream!"

3. "Hey! Did you know? We can do anything we want as soon as we become adults. We can sleep all day long or eat anytime. Thus, I want to be an adult"

I went to Insadong today with Cam and bought lots of beautiful things that I didn't plan on buying....oh, how I love spontaneous purchasing. It was a fantastic spring afternoon, which meant lots and lots of people. Even with all of the people, Insadong is still one of my favorite places in Seoul.

After battling the crowds Cam and I met Rachel Lynn and her parents. After Rachel Lynn made a quick purchase, we headed to Bennigan's to have some "okay" food and of course a beer. The perfect end to a spring afternoon in Seoul. I can't wait till Tanya and Min get here so I can do it all over again!

Okay, so fittingly when I opened YAHOO today the articles featured were all about drinking and how to cure hangovers. Sooo...here are some tips.

Who would ever do this one???

Choose something you don't really like. Many of us like to have a drink in our hand as a crutch at a party. We can always take a sip when there's a lull in the conversation. Choose a drink that is not to your liking. You'll be reminded of the fact every time you take a sip, and you'll be unlikely to finish the whole thing.

(whoever wrote this has never met Rachel Lynn...unfinished booze, can you believe they uttered those words Rachel???)

Who said throwing up was bad?

Long time no Hongdae

Last night was the first time to go to Hongdae since November. We had an awesome time, but missed Jes. We went to the "bed bar" which is a fun place to go, but can get a little mellow after awhile. So, after that, we livened things up by going to the ever popular, "Tin Pan Alley". After having a few drinks, saying hello to some co-workers and fellow soccer players, we headed to the Norae bang, aka Karoke. As always we sang, "Sweet Child O' Mine". I can't wait till Tanya gets here and I drag her there to sing a few tunes. (PS Thanks for the pictures RL!)
